Metric - Grow Up and Blow Away (2001)
If you said you found a sexier album than this one, I would say nope, you’re wrong. Fin.
Are you fucking kidding me with this band? Ugh I cannot even handle this love.
Song of the Day
The World is Falling - Mirah
Just go in a dark room, close your eyes and let this one wash over you.
Mirah - (a)spera (2009)
What I love about this album is you can call it ‘folk’ or you can call it ‘indie’ or ‘singer-songwriter’ but it doesn’t do justice to how flawlessly Mirah pulls it in different directions and incorporates various music styles. It rises and falls and is much more than any of the labels you can give it. Brilliant.
Also I have a crush on her voice and that is a good thing too.
Purity Ring - Shrines (2012)
This hands down is my favorite album of the year and my favorite album of the past five years. Every sound, every lyric is perfect and it blends together into sheer brilliance. No matter how many times I listen, I still feel blown away by the power of these songs. My words cannot do justice. Best.
UPDATE: this might be my favourite album ever. I love sounds. I love beats. I love layers. Just. How. Brilliance. Can’t. Process. Love.
Hey baby, I’m sorry I haven’t spent much time with you lately; I’m all yours next week.
MGMT - MGMT (2013)
What happened guys.
Mogwai - Happy Songs For Happy People (2003)
If you are into post rock, you need to hear this album. Enough said.
Do Make Say Think - You, You’re A History in Rust (2007)
Sometimes I make the mistake of putting this album on my iPod as ‘study music’, and then spending 48 minutes jamming out with DMST in my head. This album is just so good. Rich, complex melodies, TWO drummers, layering numerous instruments without over-doing it (they have something like 8 band members) - how could i possibly think I could study through this?
Omg this band tho. Currently “study jamming” (jam studying?) to & yet & yet. Classic.
Born Gold - I Am An Exit (Album Stream)

Songs for your Broken Heart #4
Fragments - Jaymes Young
You were looking for another way out
Try to fix these broken things…
All we had were fragments
Nine Inch Nails - Hesitation Marks (2013)
Oh hello Trent Reznor’s voice. How I’ve missed you. <3
That is all.
Tokyo Police Club - A Lesson in Crime (2006)
This is the tightest ~17 min of indie rock ever. Each instrument doing its own thing and it’s catchy as fuck.
